U.P. State Bridge Corporation Ltd. (UPSBC Ltd.) was established by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in 1973 with a paid-up capital of Rs. 5 million. Now, its paid-up capital has grown to Rs. 150 million.

In the process, UPSBC Ltd. has achieved the twin objectives of eliminating the contractual system and raising institutional finance. It has built a large number of bridges in the state, required for the ever-growing network of roads. Under the massive development programme after independence, UPSBC has successfully discharged its role and in the process, has achieved unparalleled expertise and experience in the field of bridge construction.

The Corporate Headquarters of UPSBC Ltd. is situated at Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, India. Operating from the premises are the Design, Planning and Monitoring, Quality and Cost Control, Mechanical, Personnel, Commercial, Finance and Personnel wings. Out in the field, the projects are controlled through 11 zonal offices located at Agra, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Bareilly, Chitrakoot, Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi and Sikkim.
